What are 'Sovereign Currencies'?
Sovereign currencies are currencies that are regulated and issued by a sovereign government or governing body. Examples include USD, EUR, CNY, JPY, and many more
Reasons we do not support sovereign currency conversion
- Many other exchanges provide this service and do an excellent job
- Being crypto-only simplifies our infrastructure greatly, and reduces our expenses. There are no fund reversals, no third party banking issues, and no bond interest.
- We're located in the US and the money transmitter law varies by state. We would be required to register in almost every state and place a substantial bond.
We believe sovereign currency exchange to be a very useful feature for many of our users, so adding sovereign currency markets is in our long term roadmap. If you are in the banking industry (or have good industry relations) and are interested in working with us to add support please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
